Why You Keep Thinking About Certain People (And They Think About You Too)

A client recently shared something fascinating with me. He said he'd noticed that every time I popped into his mind, I would reach out to him shortly after. This phenomenon isn't a coincidence, it's the power of energetic connection.

The Reality of Soul Connections

Some people you meet leave an immediate impression. From the moment you encounter them, you sense there's something significant about this connection. You just know you're going to have some kind of journey, experience, or relationship with them.

When two souls are deeply connected on an energetic level, it often means they're meant to learn from each other. Sometimes one person learns more from the other, and sometimes the growth is mutual. As a spiritual teacher and coach, I've discovered that I learn just as much from my clients as they learn from me. They've taught me about boundaries, about myself, and about the nature of human connection.

Don't Overthink the Connection

Here's what's important to remember: don't put a meaning behind every connection. Simply enjoy the relationship for what it is. Learn and grow from it. Maybe they're triggering healing in old wounds, or perhaps you're meant to build something together. Whatever the purpose, it will reveal itself naturally.

Being highly intuitive, I often find people appearing in my energetic field randomly. When you're thinking of someone frequently, most likely they're thinking of you too—not in an obsessive way, but they simply have you on their mind.

Distance doesn't matter. I have a best friend in Canada whom I've known for over 20 years. We haven't seen each other in years and haven't spoken in months, yet we maintain that strong energetic connection. She's constantly on my mind, and I know I'm on hers.

Understanding Karmic Connections

These intense connections usually exist to complete some kind of karma. There's often a past-life element, or you were simply meant to meet in this lifetime. You can recognize a karmic connection by its emotional intensity—and I'm not just talking about romantic emotions. There are hundreds of different feelings involved.

Sometimes it's a serene calmness or feeling of being "home." Other times, especially in romantic relationships, it's an intense feeling where the person really triggers you, bringing up anger or other powerful emotions.

Here's how you know a relationship is complete: when there's no emotion involved anymore.

Try This Exercise

Think of someone from your past—maybe someone you worked with, went to school with, or dated. See if any emotions come up. If you feel completely at peace, wish them well, but have zero desire to reach out, the karma is likely complete.

The Role of Divine Timing

Sometimes karma isn't completed until years later. People can loop back into our lives when the timing is right. This is exactly what happened with the client I mentioned earlier. I met him two years ago, and from the moment I saw him, there was an instant connection. I knew we would work together eventually.

That instant connection usually feels like curiosity—you don't know what will happen, but you sense it will be significant. Two years later, he became a regular client, and we're now working together in multiple programs. This is why we have that telepathic connection where we think of each other.

Three Deeper Reasons for Energetic Connections

1. Energetic Cords and Intuitive Sensitivity

When two people have done deep emotional or spiritual work together—whether through healing, coaching, or personal development—energy and emotions travel between them. If you're highly intuitive, you can feel their energetic resonance.

Some people are naturally born with these gifts. They're old souls who come in with natural spiritual abilities, just like some people have natural talents for sports or entrepreneurship.

2. Quantum Entanglement and Soul Contracts

Before we're born, we make soul contracts with certain people. It's like having an energetic agreement: "When I come to Earth, I'm going to have a relationship with you. We're going to build something together or have a deep experience."

This is why some people feel familiar the moment you meet them. You feel like you've known them your whole life—because you have, in past lives. Your nervous system recognizes this through tingles and intuitive feelings.

3. Mirror and Catalyst for Growth

Sometimes you serve as a spiritual catalyst or mirror in someone's life. They may unconsciously summon your energy when they're ready for their next level of growth. As the old saying goes: "When the student is ready, the teacher appears."

This is what I believe happened with my client. Perhaps he wasn't ready to dive deeper into his spiritual journey two years ago, but now he is.

Pay Attention to Who Appears in Your Life

There are no coincidences. When you decide to make a different choice or seek growth opportunities, new teachers, relationships, or people present themselves. It's like the universe saying, "Here's exactly the person you need to challenge and help you grow."

As I've evolved as a spiritual teacher, the type of clients I attract has changed dramatically. Ten years ago, clients were curious about energy healing and wanted to feel better and relax. Now I attract much more intense clients ready for deep transformation. The universe only gives you what you can handle, and as you grow, so does your capacity to serve others.

Embrace the Mystery

Energy is real. It's a frequency that connects us all. Next time you're thinking of someone or feel a strong connection with them, don't dismiss it. You don't need to define it, label it, or even understand it completely.

Some connections feel wonderful and supportive. Others are triggering and challenging, but these are often where we experience the most growth. The most triggering relationships in my life have made me grow the most as an entrepreneur, teacher, and person.

The key is to enjoy these connections for what they are. Trust that they're there for a reason, whether they last weeks, years, or a lifetime. Until the karma is resolved, you'll maintain that energetic bond—even if the person isn't physically present in your life.

Remember, you don't have to know someone physically or have them currently in your life to feel a deep connection with them. Energy transcends physical boundaries.

So the next time you meet someone new, tune into the energy. Notice what emotions come up. It's excellent psychic practice and will save you time and energy because you'll stop forcing things that aren't meant to be. True connections don't need to be forced—they flow naturally.
